Refunds & Returns
1. Overview
NextSelf Labs sells research peptides and laboratory supplies for in-vitro research use only. Due to the nature of these products and the requirement to maintain chain-of-custody for laboratory reagents, all sales are final and we do not accept returns.
This Policy explains the limited circumstances in which we will issue a refund or replacement, and the process for requesting one. Please read it carefully before placing an order.
This Policy should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
2. Why We Do Not Accept Returns
Once a research peptide or laboratory supply leaves our facility, we cannot verify the conditions under which it has been stored, handled, or transported. Returned products cannot be reintroduced into our inventory because doing so would compromise the integrity, sterility, and chain-of-custody documentation that researchers rely on.
For these reasons, we cannot accept returns of any product, opened or unopened, except in the limited circumstances described in Section 3 below.
By placing an order with NextSelf Labs, you acknowledge and agree to this no-return policy.
3. Limited Refund and Replacement Circumstances
We will issue a refund or replacement, at our discretion, only in the following limited circumstances:
3.1 Damaged in Transit
If your product arrives visibly damaged (such as a broken vial, compromised seal, crushed packaging, or evidence of liquid in a lyophilized peptide vial), we will issue a replacement or refund, subject to the following:
- You must contact us within seven (7) days of delivery
- You must provide clear photographs of the damaged product, the packaging, and the shipping label
- Damage must be consistent with shipping or handling (not user error or post-receipt mishandling)
3.2 Incorrect Product Shipped
If you receive a product different from what you ordered (wrong peptide, wrong vial size, wrong quantity), we will arrange a replacement or refund subject to the following:
- You must contact us within seven (7) days of delivery
- The product must remain unopened and in its original packaging
- You must provide your order number and clear photographs of the product received and its labeling
3.3 Failure to Meet Certificate of Analysis Specifications
If independent third-party testing demonstrates that the product you received does not meet the purity, identity, or content specifications listed on its published Certificate of Analysis, we will issue a refund or replacement subject to the following:
- You must contact us within thirty (30) days of delivery
- You must provide a copy of the third-party laboratory test report demonstrating the discrepancy
- The testing must have been performed using methodology comparable to that used to generate the original Certificate of Analysis (HPLC for purity, mass spectrometry for identity)
3.4 Non-Delivery
If your order is confirmed as lost in transit by the carrier and not delivered, we will arrange a replacement shipment or refund subject to the following:
- You must allow a reasonable investigation period as required by the carrier (typically 7 to 14 business days for domestic shipments)
- A delivery confirmation marked by the carrier will be considered evidence of delivery; subsequent loss or theft from the delivery location is not the responsibility of NextSelf Labs
4. Circumstances Where Refunds Will Not Be Issued
To avoid any ambiguity, we do not issue refunds or replacements in the following circumstances:
- The product was opened, used, or partially consumed
- You changed your mind, ordered the wrong product, or no longer wish to receive the order
- The product was damaged after delivery due to improper handling, storage, or use
- The product was stored in conditions inconsistent with the storage instructions provided (such as room temperature exposure beyond the recommended window, freeze-thaw cycles after reconstitution, or exposure to light or moisture)
- You experienced a result, outcome, or effect that you did not expect when using the product for research purposes
- The product was received and not used within its intended stability window
- The shipping address provided was incorrect or incomplete and the package was lost as a result
- The package was refused at delivery, returned to sender, or held at a carrier facility and not retrieved
- More than seven (7) days have passed since delivery (for damaged or incorrect product claims) or thirty (30) days (for COA discrepancy claims)
5. How to Request a Refund or Replacement
To request a refund or replacement under one of the limited circumstances described in Section 3, please follow these steps:
Step 1. Email us at support@nextselflabs.com with the subject line "Refund Request — Order #[your order number]"
Step 2. Include the following information in your email:
- Your full name and the email address used to place the order
- Your order number
- The specific circumstance under which you are requesting a refund or replacement (damaged, incorrect, COA discrepancy, or non-delivery)
- A detailed description of the issue
- Photographs of the product, packaging, and shipping label (where applicable)
- Third-party test reports (for COA discrepancy claims)
Step 3. Wait for our response. We will acknowledge your request within one to two business days and will respond with a decision within five business days. We may request additional information or photographs if needed to evaluate your claim.
Do not return any product to us without prior written authorization. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted, processed, or refunded, and the product will not be returned to you.
6. Refund Processing
If your refund or replacement is approved:
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within five to ten business days of approval. Depending on your payment provider, the refunded amount may take additional time to appear in your account.
- Replacements will be shipped at no additional cost using the same shipping method as the original order, unless otherwise agreed.
- Partial refunds may be offered when the issue affects only part of an order or where a full refund is not appropriate given the circumstances.
We do not refund original shipping charges except in cases of damaged or incorrect product shipments, where we will refund both the product cost and the original shipping fees.
7. Order Cancellations
You may request to cancel an order before it has shipped by emailing support@nextselflabs.com as soon as possible.
- Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled.
- If we are able to cancel your order before shipment, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method within five to ten business days.
- If your order has already shipped at the time of your cancellation request, the order is considered final and you will need to refer to the limited refund circumstances in Section 3 if a qualifying issue arises.
8. Address Errors and Failed Deliveries
You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address at the time of order. NextSelf Labs is not responsible for:
- Packages delivered to incorrect addresses provided by the customer
- Packages marked as delivered by the carrier but reported missing by the recipient
- Packages refused at delivery
- Packages held at a carrier facility and not retrieved within the carrier's holding period
- Reshipping costs for packages returned to us due to undeliverable, incorrect, or refused addresses
If a package is returned to us as undeliverable, we will contact you to arrange reshipment at your expense, or to issue a partial refund (excluding original shipping costs) if you no longer want the order.
9. International Orders
We currently ship within the United States only. Any orders placed from outside the United States, or shipping to addresses outside the United States, are not supported under this Policy.
10. Modifications to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund and Returns Policy at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the Site.
The Policy in effect at the time you place your order is the Policy that governs that order.
