AHK-Cu is the tripeptide alanyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine (Ala-His-Lys) bound to copper. It belongs to the family of copper-binding tripeptides. Its sequence differs from GHK-Cu at the first residue, where alanine takes the place of glycine.
